Chris Tucker Slapped with Tax Liens Due to $12 Million Tax Debt

Comedian Chris Tucker might crack jokes about owing money, but the comedian actually owes a large sum to the IRS. Reports show that Tucker owes over $14 million in tax debt.  Due to his large tax debt, the comedian was slapped with a new tax lien adding $2.5 million to his previous debt of $12 million. His tax debt stems from 2008 to 2010. In 2013, Tucker tried to make a dent in his tax debt by paying almost $1 million, but it still left him with a hefty liability. His reps have stated that his tax debt is due to poor management skills. Although after working with new management, Tucker was able to reach a payment agreement with the IRS, allowing him to pay off his large tax bill.

 Tori Spelling’s Bank Account Emptied Due to Tax Trouble

TV personality Tori Spelling is one of the top 500 delinquent taxpayers in the state of California. Spelling and her husband Dean McDermott owe $282,654.92 to the state in personal taxes according to the state’s Franchise Tax Board. Spelling and her husband not only owe the state of California, they also owe a substantial amount to the IRS.  In 2016, the couple was slapped with a tax lien of $707,487 due to unpaid taxes for just one year. The IRS ended up draining their bank accounts due to their large tax liability. Along with being in severe tax debt, the couple is also being sued by American Express for nearly $100,000 in unpaid credit card debt.

 Tyga Owes Nearly $1M to the IRS

Rapper Tyga is facing a series of money issues and one of them is with the IRS. Michael Ray Stevenson, known as the rapper Tyga, reportedly owes $890,183 to the IRS. According to a tax lien filed by the IRS, Tyga owes for taxes he didn’t pay from 2011 to 2016.

The tax trouble comes after the rapper had trouble paying off his debts and expenses for the last few years. In 2012, Tyga was accused of failing to pay rent on a Malibu home where he was living. He later reached a settlement with the landlord. In 2016, he made headlines when a property company accused the star of damaging a home he was renting. The rapper ended up paying almost $200,000 in damages as a result. Then later that year, he had his Ferrari repossessed after failing to make payments on the car. Tyga has yet to comment on his tax debt.
