Cristiano Ronaldo Reportedly Reaches Deal in Tax Evasion Case

Portugal soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s tax troubles may finally be ending. The soccer star has reportedly reached a deal with Spanish prosecutors in his tax-evasion case. Ronaldo was accused by Spanish Authorities of evading over 14.7 million euros (equal to about $17 million) in taxes between 2011 and 2014. The authorities allege that Ronaldo set up a company to manage his image rights but then transferred the rights to a second company to confuse Spanish Tax authorities.
